A syncretic utopian position positioned in the middle lane of the politicial compass, having both libertarian and authoritarian wings. As a centrist counter to the status quot, it takes anti-establishment positions from both left and right.

A Proposal for a New Alt-Center: Philosophy & Policy

Political tactics:

• uniting the 'politically homeless' - those disillusioned with US binary political model, bystanders of the culture war, those blackpilled about the whole 'electoral politics'

• acknowledging the need to tap into deep psycho-social needs and desires

• synthesizing Andrew Yang and Donald Trump, but not through populism;

• counter-elitism as route to power - building alternative institutions, including arts and sciences - rather than winning votes short term

• synthesizing aspects from many places, and having strong core principles not to get lost

Descriptive positions:

• rightwing / realist view of human nature -

  • as tribal and hierarchical, not egalitarian

  • rejection of the blank state

Prescriptive positions:

• more progressive concerning the types of solutions given to social and poltiical problemsa

• 'pro science' on climate change, vaccination and HBD

• economically distributist, for small scale capitalism

Positions alt-center defines itself in opposition to:

• radical individualism

• nationalism around a centralized nation state

• radical egalitarianism

• 'LARPing based rightwing politics.'

• civic conservatism

• woke multi-culturalism

• one size fits all solutions

• inequality

• gatekeeping and moralistic censorship

• managed decline

• reaction/ traditionalism(Retvrn to the old past)

1 The innermost block, basis of compromise for the 'broad tent' coalition that alt-center envisons.

'True Freedom is not simply being free from the state but the freedom to live in, or at least pursue the kind of society that fits one’s needs and desires.'

2 Smart Socialism - better allocation of resources, with eugenical slant.

By the way, I am actually a socialist. Just not the kind that shifts resources from most productive to least productive, pretending to do good, while actually causing harm. True socialism seeks greatest good for all.

TL;DR: freedom of association as main principle, resulting in creation of opt-in groups. Non-interference policy from the state regarding minor intergroup disagreements. Alt center sees value in people having these groups, as a more successful strategy than expecting their loyalty to mass society. Such an enclave could be ethnic, or just have a shared set of values.
